To use these cards as AP's is easy.(Most cards that will take these drivers will work this way) You need v6.25 drivers. These are the NDIS5 6.25 drivers. NDIS5 7.44 or 7.42 don't work for this. *** Use 2000 drivers for XP (you may need to change the files once they are installed due to the inf file)*** To revert you need to change the files in ...system32 and system32\drivers, that have the same names (find them with w*rbt48.*) the wa... file can be removed. Create a profile and name it. Use "AccessPoint" and set up encryption if you like but finish using this profile. ***(It helps for performance to remove the Application once your encryption is setup)*** Now you must use regedit.exe goto "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" > "System". Find(ctrl f) Search for "DesiredSSID" (this is always there) You are at the main settings page for the pc card(press f3 if you are at another interface's settings). These keys must be modified or added: "APMode" as dword or string. Depends on the OS:value is set to 1 "OwnSSID" as string:your required SSID "OwnChannel" as dword:required channel ***You can also set up your profile(with regedit in your profile's name) to use AP mode and OwnSSID but the channel is the missing setting!*** Now: Close regedit, Stop and/or eject your card Reinsert it. Congrats!! 8) 8) ;D P.S. (I have all files required. I am Moz 555 and Moz hilltop 704 on the mesh node DB. Write me if you struggle!)
