I remember reading in a local rag about how Spring Hill residents are talking about getting fibre-optics to every home. Part of some quest to get broadband to every home.
I might see if I can go to a meeting and mention the Wireless initiative - see what response I get
If we could end up with an omni node on a tall building I would be happy.

Would be interesting to see if some sort of routing could be setup to areas where a wireless link could not be setup. What would be the best way to do this? - phoneline, cable etc?

to use a phoneline or cable, it'll cost money. That's the whole point of BrisMesh, to GET RID of the cables. Nice idea though.  |

Yeah I know it's not a very good solution, but in these early days may be the only way to link some nodes.

ive heard 44mbit connections dont need line of sight im looking into it for my area (too many trees and we are in a gully  need a place to link to the 11 mbit network though |
